Ceremony was held at Yaegaki Brewery in Japan in November
22, 2006.
Sakabayashi@(a big ball made with cedar needlesj was
hung just outside the front entrance to a Yaegaki
sake brewery after the first sake of the year had
been pressed. As you can see the Sakabayashi is still
green. Over the next several months, the green Sakabayashi
slowly faded to brown. When the color had changed
to brown, it means that the sake had aged enough to
be ready for drinking. The Sakabayashi (shown in a
picture) was hand-made by the Yaegaki Sake master
and employees.

The
First batch of sake tasting was celebrated at Los
Angeles Sake Brewery of YAEGAKI Corporation of USA
on Feb. 20, 2004.
A large turnout of media, local political figures
and business executives enjoyed a celebration that
included a press conference, tours of the facility
and tasting of first batch of "YAEGAKI" sake.
Dry, rich, smooth and fresh. New YAEGAKI sake will
be available at Japanese restaurants and retail stores
in the U.S. late April.
